Band Parents Association (BPA) Update

Attached is the presentation from the August 11th BPA General Meeting.  It has information on the website, fundraisers and committee chair contacts.  The next BPA Meeting will be on Tuesday, 21 September at 7 pm. 
Thanks to the parents who stepped up and supported the band as chaperones through Band Camp. 
If you haven't already seen it, please visit the Ocean Lakes Band website (www.oceanlakesband.com) for important information including the calendar of events.  If you've received this newsletter as an email directly from the site, then you've been entered into the site's mailing list already, but you should still select the News Feed for the calendar to keep up on important upcoming dates.  The first home football game is Friday, September 10 which marks the beginning of our busiest few months.  There are many ways that you can support the OL Bands:
Chaperones:  Needed for all home football games (including the Sportsplex), competitions and parades.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact Shelly Kyle (sheila.kyle@vbschools.com).
Hospitality:  The BPA provides dinner for the Marching Band between the after school rehearsal and the football game on all home game nights.  Roberta Roth needs volunteers to provide side dishes and desserts.  This is a great way for students to rack up volunteer hours.  Contact Roberta (srhcjroth@verizon.net) for more information.
Concession Stand:  The concession stand is is our single biggest fundraising effort for the year.  It's also a great way to meet other BPA members.  Contact William or Sheila Hutsenpiller (beachdude@cox.net ; beachdude@cox.net) to sign up.
