Ms. Leah Greber received her Master's Degree in Music Education from Old Dominion University.
She received her Bachelor's Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from James Madison University. Ms. Greber is a native
Virginia Beach resident having graduated from Kellam High School where she was active in the music program. Since then, Ms. Greber
has been quite active in the music community as a flute player for the Virginia Wind Symphony and Tidewater Winds. She also provided
private flute instruction. She was invited to be a conductor at the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Middle School Concert Band Camp at
Ferrum College. Last summer, Ms. Greber accepted the position of Music Director at Ocean Lakes High School. Prior to that, she
was the Music Director at Corporate Landing Middle School where her band students earned FOUR Superior Ratings for their adjudicated
performance at the District Band Festival. This is the highest rating an ensemble can earn. Ms. Greber brings this high level of
standards to Ocean Lakes. In the past two years, the Ocean Lakes Marching Band received First Place in overall performance and
caption areas such as Best Percussion, Best Drum Majors, best Color Guard, Best Marching, and Best Music. This past season, the Marching
Band received a Superior Rating at the VBODA State Marching Band Festival. Most importantly, however, the students enjoy what they are
doing... performing music and working together as a team.
